Meelod BIKES - LIMITED WARRANTY

At Meelod Riders, Inc. ("Meelod"), our commitment to quality and durability is at the forefront of what we do. We have a robust confidence in our products and stand behind each one. Each bicycle we vend comes with a limited warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to the exclusions stated below. This warranty is exclusively valid within the United States.

 

WARRANTY TENURE

New products acquired directly from Meelod ("Products") are assured to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship ("Manufacturer Defects") for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase or delivery date, whichever is later ("Warranty Period"). Replacement parts employed in warranty repairs will be warranted for the remainder of the applicable Warranty Period.

 

NON-TRANSFERABLE

This warranty cannot be transferred in any manner and can only be claimed by the original retail purchaser ("Customer") of the Products. The Customer will need to provide the original receipt of purchase when filing a claim under this warranty.

 

COVERAGE

 This warranty is exclusively applicable to Products, parts, and components fabricated, assembled, and sold as new by Meelod. The ensuing components are covered under this warranty against Manufacturer Defects:

-Motor - 1 year

-Frame - 2 years

-Batteries - 1 year

-Mechanical components - 1 year

Including suspension forks, stem, handlebar, headset, brakes (excluding brake pads), bottom bracket, crank set, rims, wheel hub, cassette, and shifter.

-Electrical components - 1 year

Including motor, throttle, control panel, controller, wiring harness, front light, rear light, IOT module, sensor, fingerprint module, and charger.

 

SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS

Upon receiving your order, you should promptly inspect the Products for any damage. Due to the time-sensitive nature of freight damage claims, we will not accept claims later than 10 days from your receipt of the Product. If you notice any damage to the Products, ensure to note it on the Bill of Lading before accepting the shipment. It's recommended to document any apparent damage with photographs and to date these images, if possible. Furthermore, retain all packaging and paperwork until the inspection process concludes.

Any damage claims must be reported to Meelod within 10 days of delivery. Contact our Customer Support team for guidance on return or replacement procedures.

If you opt to arrange your own independent shipping method, such as through a freight forwarder or a similar service, please note that Meelod will not be liable for the replacement of any Products damaged during such transit.

 

WHAT’S NOT COVERED

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of the Products. Additionally, it does not cover any damage that results from abuse or neglect of the Products. Instances of abuse and neglect can include, but are not limited to:

-Racing or competition use, modification of original parts, abnormal strain.

Water damage.

-Lack of proper maintenance, installation of parts or accessories that do not match the design and quality of genuine Meelod parts (“Incompatible Parts”).

-Use of lubricants unsuitable for e-bike use.

-Damage from accidents, collisions, road hazards, or operation on surfaces, such as stairs, that aren't designed for conventional e-bike use; damage from external factors like salt air, saltwater, bird droppings, or chemicals.

Commercial uses like transporting cargo, delivering newspapers, and rentals.

-Temporary decrease in power or travel distance on a single battery charge, as outlined in the Owner’s Manual, due to conditions such as ambient temperature, load, inclines, frequent starts and stops, and normal system-protection functions, along with temperature-related performance of the battery charger.

-Normal deterioration, including the gradual decrease of battery capacity over the warranty period, provided the battery capacity is still 50% or more of the initial capacity before warranty expiration and the total number of battery charging cycles is 200 or less. Other normal deterioration includes natural fading of painted or plated surfaces, and cosmetic ozone or weather cracking in tires.

 Any non-warranty work conducted simultaneously with a warranty repair/replacement will incur the standard parts/labor fees.

 

WARRANTY VOID

 The following circumstances will void this warranty:

-Products that have been lent, leased, or rented commercially.

-Damage incurred due to the use of a third-party battery charger.

-Loss or damage incurred due to the Customer choosing their own shipping option or if the bike is shipped using a freight forwarder or similar service.

-Products that have been altered without Meelod's approval.

-Products with alterations or additions of non-original or Incompatible Parts.

-Damage to or failure of Products resulting from weather or excessive wear and tear.

-Theft, robbery, vandalism, incidental, consequential, or intentional damage, as well as damage resulting from the Customer's abuse or neglect of the Product.

-Products that have been used or transported improperly (e.g., exceeding maximum weight recommendation).

-Products with damage resulting from improper maintenance (e.g., storing battery fully discharged over the winter).

-Products with an electrical component that has been opened, altered, partially or completely disassembled, except by Meelod or their authorized service providers.

-Products that have been disassembled in a manner not authorized by Meelod or that have had repairs attempted by anyone not authorized by Meelod.

-Products that have been damaged due to improper adjustment or maintenance.

In the event that there's a suspicion of defectiveness associated with any Product, it's imperative that you abstain from undertaking repair or replacement ventures on your own or seeking such services before establishing contact with Meelod directly. Engaging in such actions might lead to the invalidation of the guarantee and could potentially amplify the degree of impairment, and this is not strictly confined to the Products under scrutiny. Moreover, these actions could potentially engender risks of personal injury or even fatality.

INITIATING A CLAIM

Upon receipt of a correctly tendered guarantee claim, Meelod undertakes a thorough examination of the alleged defect. At its exclusive discretion, Meelod either undertakes the repair or substitution of any Products deemed defective. The Guarantee Claim Procedure is outlined as follows:

-It is crucial to retain the original packaging in which the bicycle was dispatched, even if it has incurred shipping damages. Meelod bears no responsibility for providing a box for return consignments.

-Establish communication with the Customer Support team. Without first acquiring photographs and/or videos delineating the purported impairment or defect of the Product in question, Meelod will not initiate any replacement.

-Meelod will liaise with the Customer to organize an inspection of the impaired or defective Product, subsequently arranging for any guarantee repairs.

-All claims under this guarantee must be directly lodged through Meelod. A proof of purchase is a prerequisite with a guarantee request. Before submitting a claim, it's suggested that the Customer contact the Support team by lodging a support ticket, as there could be a straightforward resolution for the issue.

-The Customer must swiftly supply all the information solicited by Meelod, including photos of any defective Products as requested.

 

EXCLUSIONS

Under all circumstances, Meelod retains the prerogative to confine guarantee service to the nation where the Product was initially procured.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY NATURE. MEELOD MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES RELATED TO THE PRODUCTS. ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED UNDER ANY APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. ALL WARRANTIES, WRITTEN, ORAL, OR IMPLIED, ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE PERIOD AND TERM OF THIS WARRANTY. THE LAWS OF SOME REGIONS REQUIRE DIFFERENT OR LONGER TERMS FOR WARRANTIES, OR PROHIBIT CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS OR LIMITATIONS OF WARRANTIES. THIS WARRANTY PROVIDES THE CUSTOMER WITH SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, WHICH MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE, COUNTRY TO COUNTRY, OR REGION TO REGION.
